Job summary

SMX is seeking a Data Integration Specialist to design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines connecting source financial systems (ERP, GL, HR) to a new budgeting platform. This full-time role is 100% remote with travel<20% and requires a Public Trust clearance.

You will bridge raw financial data to actionable insights, ensuring secure, accurate data flows and robust data quality while collaborating with stakeholders and subject matter experts to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development: design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for financial data.
• Source System Analysis: analyze data from systems like SAP S/4HANA and other government financial systems.
• Data Mapping & Transformation: write CDS views and SQL to transform data for the budget solution.
• Data Quality Assurance: implement data quality checks and reconciliation processes.
• Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning: monitor and optimize data pipelines.
• Collaboration: work with project managers, architects, and SMEs to align design with goals.
• Documentation: maintain technical docs and SOPs.
