Job summary

SMX is seeking a Data Integration Specialist to design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines connecting client finance systems to a new budgeting platform. The role is fully remote in the United States with minimal travel and requires Public Trust clearance.

You will work with SAP SAC, SAP HANA, and S/4HANA, building data pipelines, performing data mapping, and ensuring data quality to support a critical enterprise-wide budget solution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development: design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to extract financial data and load into the budget solution.
• Source System Analysis: analyze data from SAP S/4HANA and other government financial systems to understand structures and rules.
• Data Mapping & Transformation: create data mapping docs; write CDS views and SQL to transform and validate data.
• Data Quality Assurance: implement data quality checks, validations, and reconciliations for data integrity.
• Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning: monitor jobs, troubleshoot failures, optimize pipeline performance.
• Collaboration: work with PMs, architects, consultants, and client SMEs to align designs with goals.
• Documentation: develop technical docs including data flow diagrams and SOPs.
