Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an experienced data engineering leader to guide a remote team of five engineers and shape our data platform strategy. You will drive architecture, standards, and modern DataOps practices across the lifecycle.

You will translate enterprise data goals into concrete roadmaps, oversee delivery, and foster a culture of mentorship and continuous improvement. This is a fully remote, nationwide role with strong collaboration across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading large data/engineering teams and delivery.
• Strong background in data lakehouse patterns and Medallion architecture.
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and SQL Server.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a data engineering team of 5+ engineers with performance reviews and coaching.
• Translate data architecture strategy into actionable roadmaps and backlogs.
• Oversee day-to-day execution, delegating tasks and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Establish engineering standards for maintainability, documentation, and repeatability.
• Drive Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) across pipelines and data layers.
• Implement DataOps practices including CI/CD, code reviews, and runbooks.
