Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner, seeks a Manager, Data Engineering in the United States. This remote-first leadership role guides a team of five+ engineers, translating data architecture strategy into scalable, reliable pipelines and lakehouse products with Medallion architecture.

You will set engineering standards, drive CI/CD, data governance, and observability, and collaborate with data architects, application teams, and stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes while mentoring engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 10 years in software or data engineering with production data pipelines.
• At least 2 years in a technical leadership role with team coordination.
• Direct people management experience including hiring and performance reviews.
• Deep hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and data lakehouse patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of at least five data engineers.
• Translate architectural strategy into roadmaps, backlogs, and sprint plans.
• Oversee day-to-day engineering execution and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Establish engineering standards for maintainability and repeatability.
• Drive Medallion architecture implementation using Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and related tools.
