Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with a US-based employer to hire a Manager, Data Engineering in a fully remote, remote-first environment. You will lead a team of five+ data engineers, shaping the data platform, implementing lakehouse patterns, and ensuring reliable, observable pipelines.

You will collaborate with data architects, business stakeholders, and application teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions, foster accountability, and mentor engineers, while maintaining strong data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 10+ years in software or data engineering with production pipelines.
• 2+ years in technical leadership including team coordination.
• Direct people management experience including hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Databricks and Apache Spark, Boomi or Rivery, and Delta Lake patterns.
• Experience designing Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) with secure access controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of data engineers, overseeing hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews.
• Translate enterprise data architecture strategy into actionable roadmaps, backlogs, and sprint plans.
• Oversee day-to-day engineering execution with high-quality deliverables and technical reviews.
• Establish engineering standards, documentation, and repeatable delivery across the data layer.
• Drive Medallion architecture implementation using Azure Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and dbt.
