Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with a client in the United States to hire a Manager, Data Engineering for a fully remote role. You will oversee a team of at least five engineers, guiding Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) implementations with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and related tools, while driving DataOps and CI/CD across the platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years in software or data engineering with pipelines.
• 2+ years in technical leadership and team coordination.
• Hands-on Databricks and Spark experience.
• Experience with Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
• Strong CI/CD and DataOps practices.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders.
• Experience with remote teams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of at least five data engineers.
• Translate data architecture into roadmaps and backlogs.
• Oversee day-to-day engineering execution and reviews.
• Establish standards for maintainability and delivery.
• Drive Medallion architecture using Databricks, Delta Lake, dbt, Boomi, Rivery.
• Collaborate with Data Architect on reference patterns and guardrails.
• Improve observability, data quality, and incident response.
