Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with a healthcare–tech enterprise to recruit a Manager, Data Engineering for a fully remote US-based role. You will lead a team of five+ engineers, turning data strategy into scalable lakehouse pipelines using Azure Databricks, Spark, and Delta Lake.

You will balance hands-on leadership with architecture guidance, drive DataOps, CI/CD, and strong data governance to deliver reliable data products for stakeholders. Remote-first environment with US eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years in software or data engineering.
• 2+ years in technical leadership and people management.
• Direct people management including hiring and performance reviews.
• Deep hands-on experience with Databricks and Spark, Delta Lake patterns.
• Experience designing Medallion architecture and scalable lakehouse pipelines.
• Experience with CI/CD, DataOps, and modern data governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of at least five data engineers.
• Translate data architecture strategy into roadmaps and backlogs.
• Oversee day-to-day engineering execution and ensure quality deliverables.
• Establish engineering standards for maintainability and observability.
• Drive Medallion architecture implementation across Bronze, Silver, Gold layers.
• Partner with Data Architect to implement guardrails and patterns.
• Promote DataOps practices, CI/CD, and release management.
• Improve pipeline observability and data quality across platforms.
• Collaborate with upstream SQL Server teams on data access strategies.
• Design ingestion and transformation workflows for APIs and databases.
