Job summary

Jobgether is listing a Manager, Data Engineering for a remote-first US-based role. You will lead a team of five+ engineers, translate architecture strategy into roadmaps, and oversee CI/CD, data governance, and reliable lakehouse pipelines.

Responsibilities include implementing Bronze-Silver-Gold with Databricks, Delta Lake, and SQL Server, mentoring engineers, and coordinating with data architects and business stakeholders to drive measurable delivery outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software or data engineering experience with production pipelines.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership role with team oversight.
• Direct people management including hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews.
• Hands-on Databricks and Spark expertise; experience with lakehouse patterns.
• Strong data ingestion, ETL/ELT, and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of at least five data engineers; oversee hiring and performance reviews.
• Translate data architecture strategy into actionable roadmaps and measurable delivery outcomes.
• Oversee day-to-day execution, ensure high-quality deliverables, and remove blockers.
• Establish engineering standards for maintainability, observability, and security.
• Drive Medallion architecture implementation (Bronze-Silver-Gold) with Delta Lake and Boomi/Rivery.
• Collaborate with Data Architect to define guardrails and reference pipelines.
