Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Manager, Data Engineering based in the United States. This remote-first role leads a team of at least five engineers and translates architecture strategy into scalable data pipelines.

You will drive Medallion architecture with Azure Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, dbt, Boomi, and Rivery, and establish CI/CD and DataOps practices to ensure reliable delivery and governance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software/data engineering with production-grade pipelines.
• 2+ years in technical leadership, team planning, and delivery ownership.
• Direct people management and mentoring experience.
• Hands-on Databricks, Spark, Boomi or Rivery, and Delta Lake for lakehouse processing.
• Experience with Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of at least five data engineers with hiring and performance reviews.
• Translate architecture strategy into roadmaps, backlogs, and sprint plans.
• Oversee day-to-day engineering execution and deliverables with high quality.
• Establish engineering standards for maintainability and repeatable delivery.
• Drive Medallion architecture implementation using Azure Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, dbt, Boomi, and Rivery.
• Collaborate with Data Architect and stakeholders to implement guardrails and reference pipelines.
• Implement DataOps practices with CI/CD, version control, testing, and runbooks.
• Improve observability, data freshness, and incident response across pipelines.
• Work with upstream SQL Server systems and application teams on efficient access strategies.
