Jobgether is partnering with a US-based client to hire a Manager, Data Engineering. This fully remote leadership role guides a five+ person data engineering team, shaping an enterprise data platform and ensuring reliable, scalable pipelines using Databricks, Spark, and Delta Lake.

You will drive data governance, modern DataOps, and governance across Bronze/ Silver/ Gold layers. You will partner with Data Architects and business stakeholders to translate architecture into practical

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years in software or data engineering.
• 2+ years in technical leadership.
• Direct people management experience.
• Hands-on Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake patterns.
• Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Medallion architecture implementation experience.
• Upstream SQL Server data access experience.
• DataOps, CI/CD, monitoring, and docs experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Remote work experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of at least five data engineers.
• Translate architecture strategy into actionable roadmaps and backlogs.
• Oversee day-to-day engineering execution and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Establish engineering standards for maintainability and repeatability.
• Drive Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, SQL Server, dbt, Boomi, and Rivery.
• Collaborate with Data Architect and stakeholders to implement guardrails and reusable patterns.
• Implement DataOps practices including CI/CD, code reviews, and runbooks.
• Improve pipeline observability, data quality, and incident response.
• Design efficient data access patterns with upstream SQL Server systems.
• Oversee ingestion/transformation workflows for diverse sources.
• Clarify requirements with business and prioritize initiatives.
• Foster engineering culture through mentorship and accountability.
• Drive continuous improvement in team maturity and delivery predictability.
• Support cross-functional projects with integrity and professionalism.
