Job summary

Rackspace Technology is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician to own IT infrastructure within the data center, ensuring all customer environments are secure and achieve 99.999% uptime. The role is based in Ashburn, VA, with onsite responsibilities and eligibility for shift differential.

Responsibilities include supporting Windows, RHEL, Ubuntu, and VMware ESX servers, performing hardware swaps, OS troubleshooting, and maintaining network and storage configurations.

Qualifications

Experience in data center operations or equivalent environment.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware failures on x86 servers.
Familiarity with OS and storage technologies such as Windows Server, Linux, and VMware ESX.

Responsibilities

Utilize monitoring software and ticketing system to support customers.
Identify and troubleshoot simple hardware failures on x86 servers and replace failed components.
Troubleshoot OS storage issues including file systems, disk management and RAID.
Support servers running Windows Server, RHEL, Ubuntu Linux or VMware ESX Server.
Troubleshoot LAN connectivity issues and reestablish remote access via SSH or RDP/Remote Desktop.
