Job summary

Rackspace Technology in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Second Shift Data Center Operations Technician III. This on-site, full-time role owns IT infrastructure within the data center, ensuring customer server environments are secure, operational and achieve 99.999% uptime.

You will monitor internal ticketing, perform OS installs (PXE), hardware upgrades, RAID config, and network cabling installation. Responsibilities cover server hardware, storage, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and integration

Qualifications

Experience operating and supporting data center infrastructure.
Ability to perform basic OS installs and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with server hardware, RAID, and storage concepts.

Responsibilities

Monitor and prioritize an internal ticketing system for customer support.
Provide hardware and storage troubleshooting and RAID configuration changes.
Support servers running Windows Server, RHEL, Ubuntu, or VMware ESXi.
Perform OS installs (PXE), network configuration, and firmware updates.
Install or remove network cabling; work with switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Complete customer maintenance requests including device mounting and cabling.
