Job summary

Daikin Applied, the world’s largest HVAC company, seeks a National Accounts Director to lead the Data Centers vertical within the National Accounts team. Location is remote with 50% travel; responsible for strategy, growth, and leadership across field and internal groups.

You will develop executive relationships, drive long-term planning, and manage a team to deliver profitable results while aligning with Daikin’s business model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Technical, Scientific, or Engineering) or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in sales or business development; including 6+ years of people leadership experience.
• History of leading high-performing sales teams through rapid growth in the data center sector.
• Proven ability to develop executive-level relationships with C-suite leaders across data center operators and hyperscalers.
• 5+ Years of related experience in HVAC sales.

Responsibilities

• Market Analysis: assess and communicate market intelligence and growth potential; Daikin's position vs competitors.
• Strategic Planning: develop and drive business strategy Data Center vertical market; provide updates to leadership.
• Key Customer Planning & Execution: elevate professionalism of Data Center team; scale complex solutions across teams.
• Stakeholder Coordination: lead implementation of vertical market strategy with internal customers including supply chain and product development.
• Marketing: collaborate with marketing on materials, trade shows, visibility, and speaker events.
• Team Management: lead a team of Data Center experts; hire, train, and coach for performance.
