Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a National Accounts Director to lead the Data Centers vertical within the National Accounts team. You will set the strategy, run planning, and drive profitable growth while guiding a team of Data Center experts.

The role requires a track record of selling HVAC solutions to data center operators and hyperscalers, plus extensive leadership experience. This position is remote with travel around 50% of the time, and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Technical, Scientific, or Engineering) or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in sales or business development; including 6+ years of people leadership experience.
• History of leading high-performing sales teams through periods of rapid growth in the data center sector.
• Proven ability to develop executive-level relationships with C-suite leaders across data center operators, and hyperscalers.
• 5+ Years of related experience in HVAC sales.

Responsibilities

• Market Analysis: assess and communicate market intelligence, including market characteristics, segmentation, trends, growth potential, Daikin's position, and customer needs.
• Strategic Planning: develop and drive business strategy Data Center vertical market with updates to leadership; gather field and customer feedback; lead short- and long-term planning.
• Key Customer Planning & Execution: elevate Data Center team professionalism; drive process improvements for customer experience; scale complex solutions with field, manufacturing, and Rep leadership.
• Stakeholder Coordination: lead vertical market strategy with internal teams; monitor competitor activities and integrate into communications and strategy.
• Marketing: collaborate to determine materials, trade show presence, and visibility; identify speaker events and publishing opportunities.
• Team Management: lead Data Center experts; drive pipeline growth; recruit, coach, and develop staff; assess and adjust sales plans.
