Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a Strategic Segment Proposal Engineer to develop technical and commercial proposals for ABB Electrification's focused industry segments, including data centers and critical manufacturing facilities.

Remote in the US, you will collaborate with SAMs to drive Inquiry to Order with a focus on high-probability, high-profitability projects. You will leverage ABB Empower and other tools to tailor solutions, evaluate risk, and ensure alignment with ABB standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical distribution or related industry; Minimum 5 years of Sales and project quotations experience.
• Deep technical knowledge of ABB electrical distribution product portfolio and configuration tools (ABB empower).
• Experience with EPC, industrial, or data center end users on large scale projects.
• Experience with global and local cross functional teams and interacting with senior management.
• Ability to travel up to 2-3 times a year.
• Work authorization to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SAMs and Strategic Customers to understand CTQ factors for growth.
• Organize and lead deal strategy and pricing discussions with internal stakeholders.
• Develop innovative solutions leveraging ABB's product portfolio to reduce costs and increase profitability.
• Assess project risk triggers and coordinate risk reviews with leadership.
