Job summary
ABB Inc. is seeking a Strategic Segment Proposal Engineer to develop technical and commercial proposals for data centers and critical manufacturing facilities in the United States.
You will partner with Strategic Account Sales Managers to drive ITO and focus on high-probability, high-profitability projects using ABB Electrification's product portfolio. You will assess CTQ factors, lead deal strategy and pricing discussions, and propose cost-saving, value-enhancing solutions while monitoring
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years in electrical distribution or related industry; 5+ years in sales and project quotations.
- Deep technical knowledge of ABB electrical distribution products and portfolio.
- Experience with EPC, industrial, or data center end users on large-scale projects.
- Experience working with global and local cross-functional teams and senior management.
- Proficient in remote communication tools (Outlook, Salesforce.com, Teams).
- Willingness to travel 2–3 times per year.
- Must have US work authorization.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with SAMs and Strategic Customers to understand CTQ factors for growth.
- Organize and lead deal strategy and pricing discussions with stakeholders.
- Develop innovative solutions leveraging ABB's product portfolio to reduce costs and increase profitability.
- Evaluate project risk triggers and align with ABB risk standards; coordinate with leadership and risk manager.
