Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a Strategic Segment Proposal Engineer to develop technical and commercial proposals for ABB Electrification. You will work with Strategic Account Sales Managers to drive inquiry-to-order for high-probability, high-profitability projects in data centers and critical manufacturing facilities.

This remote US role requires deep knowledge of ABB's portfolio, collaboration across global teams, and risk-aware planning. Travel up to 2–3 times yearly may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical distribution or related industry; minimum 5 years in sales and project quotations.
• Deep technical knowledge of ABB electrical distribution product portfolio and configuration tools.
• Experience with EPC, industrial, or data center end users on large scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SAMs and Strategic Customers to understand CTQ factors for growth.
• Organize and lead deal strategy and pricing discussions with internal stakeholders.
• Develop innovative solutions leveraging ABB's product portfolio to reduce costs and increase profitability.
• Evaluate project risk triggers and coordinate with leadership and risk manager.
