Job summary

SHI International Corp. is seeking a Pre‑Sales Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer to advise customers and internal teams on security architectures across enterprise, hybrid, and cloud environments. This remote role serves the Southeast US, collaborating closely with sales and delivery teams.

The candidate will lead technical discovery, assess architectures, and develop high‑level security proposals, with emphasis on email security and vendor partnerships to drive business value.

Qualifications

• Experience and understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, HITRUST, CIS, Etc. - Intermediate
• Strong email security technologies knowledge, including phishing protection, SEG, API-based solutions, DLP, and advanced threat protection
• Ability to effectively communicate and sell complex technical products by understanding customer needs
• Expertise in email security solutions with Proofpoint, Mimecast, Abnormal and related vendors
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, pre-sales engineering, or solutions architecture
• Broad understanding of email and data security across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid
• Strong knowledge of identity, network security, endpoint protection, data protection, and security operations
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (NIST, CIS, HITRUST)
• Experience supporting sales teams in a VAR / SI / technology provider environment
• Strong presentation skills and ability to deliver live or virtual demonstrations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail, organization, and follow-up
• Initiative to research, learn, and resolve problems with a collaborative mindset
• Exceptional relationship-building skills and passion for technology
• Strong documentation skills with diagrams and customer-facing presentations

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer goals, security challenges, and environments.
• Assess customer security architectures and identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Demonstrates expertise in email security environments and develops high-level architectures, proposals, and documentation.
• Design and recommend scalable cybersecurity solutions aligned to customer requirements and best practices.
• Present security solutions, value propositions, and differentiators to technical and executive audiences.
• Support product demonstrations, whiteboard sessions, and technical briefings.
• Collaborate with technology partners and vendors to validate and refine proposed solutions.
• Assist with pre‑sales PoC efforts to validate technical fitness and business value.
• Provide technical enablement and security-focused training to internal sales teams.
• Ensure a smooth handoff to post‑sales delivery teams after opportunity closure.
