Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Customer Service Representative to accurately fulfill customer orders and manage inbound calls. You will respond to product inquiries, provide quotes, and process orders via multiple channels, while influencing gross profit through pricing negotiations.

Typical responsibilities include order entry, pricing adjustments, maintaining inventory, shipping method selection, and coordinating with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years related experience.
• Ability to learn product catalog and pricing.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Reliability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Respond to basic customer inquiries regarding products, provide quotes, and enter orders.
• Place customer orders via telephone, fax, email, or walk-in.
• Negotiate sale and purchase prices within authorized parameters to influence gross profit.
• Adjust non-contract pricing as needed to meet customer demands while maximizing MI profits.
• Build customer relationships to drive repeat business and improve processes.
• Maintain inventory levels by ordering items as needed for customers.
• Place orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order without approval.
• Source products from branch, DC, or supplier inventories.
• Determine cost-effective shipping methods for orders.
• Collaborate with Account Reps to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Expedite backorders and prepare shipments; handle returns as needed.
