Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Customer Service Representative to accurately fulfill customer orders and handle incoming calls under close supervision. You will quote products, take orders by phone, fax, email or walk-in, and support pricing decisions to maximize profitability.

Responsibilities include ensuring inventory availability, selecting cost-efficient shipping, and partnering with Account Representatives to drive customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years related customer service or order entry experience.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Reliable and organized.

Responsibilities

• Responds to basic customer inquiries regarding products, provides quotes, and handles order entry.
• Places customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk in (counter sales).
• Influences gross profit by negotiating sale and purchase prices within set parameters.
• May adjust non-contract pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit.
• Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business and improve processes.
• Maintains appropriate inventory levels to satisfy customer needs.
• May place orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order without approval.
• Sources products from branch, distribution center, or supplier inventory.
• Determines cost-effective shipping methods for orders.
• Collaborates with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Expedites backorders and processes returns as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
