Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Customer Service Representative to accurately fulfill customer orders and manage incoming calls. Under close supervision, you will respond to inquiries, enter orders, and support pricing decisions to balance service and profitability.

You will collaborate with Account Representatives, arrange shipments, and contribute to process improvements while maintaining inventory levels and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and 0–3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Responds to basic customer inquiries regarding products, provides quotes, and handles order entry.
• Places customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk-in (counter sales).
• Influences gross profit through negotiating the sale price within parameters.
• May adjust non-contract pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit.
• Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business and supports process improvements.
• Determines shipping methods for customer orders and expedites backorders.
• May handle customer returns and source products from various inventories.
