Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Customer Service Representative to accurately fulfill customer orders and manage incoming calls under close supervision. You will respond to inquiries, enter orders, provide quotes, and help ensure timely shipment.

Key tasks include negotiating price within parameters to influence gross profit, maintaining inventory levels, and coordinating with Account Representatives to support customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Ability to use business systems and internet for product searches.

Responsibilities

• Responds to basic customer inquiries regarding products, provides quotes, and handles order entry.
• Places customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk in (counter sales).
• Influences gross profit through negotiating the sale price and purchase price within parameters.
• May adjust non-contract pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit.
• Builds customer relationships to drive repeat business and drive process improvements.
• Orders items to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained for customers.
• Determines the most cost effective shipping method for customer orders.
• Partners with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Expedites backorders; may pull inventory and prepare orders for shipment; may handle returns.
