Job summary

CONTACT Care Line is hiring for a fully remote Crisis Counselor position. This role is full-time (40 hours) with shifts of 8.5 hours, and weekend days are required.

The counselor will assess suicide risk, provide compassionate support, document interactions, and collaborate with visitors to create safety plans, while adhering to clinical and operational guidelines. Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 1 year in mental health, crisis intervention, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Respond to 988 chat, text, and phone interactions promptly and compassionately.
• During chat shifts, manage two concurrent chats per policy while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Assess suicide risk and implement safety planning using established protocols.
• Provide referrals to community resources as needed.
• Document all visitor interactions accurately per procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to clinical and operational guidelines.
