Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is hiring a Credit Bureau Reporting & Corrections Analyst to handle electronic credit bureau disputes, review inquiries, disputes and complaints from borrowers, and resolve issues within deadlines. Starting pay ranges from $30.32 to $32.80 per hour, with remote work from home.

You will investigate disputes using Metro 2 standards, respond via E-Oscar, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting while staying current on RESPA, TILA, FCRA, and CFPB

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Metro 2 format.
• Knowledge/experience with credit reporting and FCRA.
• Working knowledge of mortgage servicing laws (RESPA, CFPB, etc.).
• Strong understanding of payments, escrow, taxes and insurance.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Ability to perform in a production-driven environment with high accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently under deadlines.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of relevant industry-specific software.
• Excellent critical thinking and sound judgment.
• Team player with attention to detail.
• Ability to make decisions with significant impact.
• Ability to manage multiple simultaneous assignments.

Responsibilities

• Investigate credit reporting disputes by analyzing records against Metro 2 standards and Carrington policy.
• Respond to disputes via E-Oscar; submit corrections to bureaus.
• Determine if corrections are warranted and adjust records as needed.
• Make loan updates and ensure proper system notation.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve inquiries and track trends.
• Conduct research on payment histories and loan data to support dispute responses.
• Handle escalated credit reporting issues for internal units.
