Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is hiring a Credit Bureau Reporting & Corrections Analyst to handle electronic disputes, review inquiries, and resolve issues within deadlines. Starting pay ranges from $30.32 to $32.80 per hour, and the role is remote from home.

The analyst will investigate disputes, respond to bureaus, perform loan data corrections, and collaborate with internal teams while maintaining adherence to RESPA, TILA, FCRA, and CFPB regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• 3–5 years of related work experience in mortgage servicing, financial industry, and/or experience handling credit bureaus disputes required.
• Familiarity with Metro 2 format is a plus.
• Working knowledge of federal and state laws and guidelines pertaining to mortgage servicing (RESPA, CFPB, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Investigate credit reporting disputes by analyzing records for accuracy against Metro 2 standards and Carrington policy.
• Respond to credit disputes via E-Oscar and submit corrections to credit bureaus.
• Determine if a correction is warranted and make necessary updates in systems.
• Make loan updates and ensure proper notation in the record.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve inquiries and report trends to management.
• Conduct research on payment histories, escrow analyses, loan balances, and ARM adjustments to support dispute responses.
• Handle escalated credit reporting issues and provide back-up to internal units.
• Stay current with RESPA, TILA, FCRA, and CFPB regulations.
