Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Credit Bureau Reporting & Corrections Analyst. The role handles Electronic Credit Bureau Disputes, reviews inquiries, disputes and complaints, researches issues, and provides timely responses.

Starting pay is $30.32–$32.80 per hour, with remote work from home option. You'll investigate disputes, respond via E-Oscar, and ensure corrections in the credit reporting system, staying current with RESPA, TILA, FCRA, and CFPB guidelines while collaborating with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Three to five years of related work experience in mortgage servicing, financial industry, and/or experience handling credit bureaus disputes.
• Familiarity with Metro 2 format is a plus.
• Knowledge/Experience with credit reporting and FCRA preferred.
• Working knowledge of federal and state laws and guidelines pertaining to mortgage servicing (RESPA, CFPB, etc.)
• Strong working knowledge of all aspects of operations including payment processing, escrow, taxes, and insurance, boarding, credit reporting etc.

Responsibilities

• Investigate credit reporting disputes by analyzing records against Metro 2 format standards and Carrington policy.
• Respond to credit disputes via E-Oscar and submit corrections to bureaus.
• Determine if corrections are warranted and update records accordingly.
• Make loan updates and ensure proper notation in the system.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve inquiries and report trends to management.
• Conduct research on payment histories, escrow, loan data, and cash applications to support dispute responses.
• Handle escalated credit reporting issues and provide internal support as needed.
• Stay updated on RESPA, TILA, FCRA, and CFPB regulations.
