Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Credit Bureau Reporting & Corrections Analyst to handle electronic credit bureau disputes, review inquiries, disputes and complaints, and provide timely responses while complying with RESPA, TILA, FCRA and CFPB guidelines. The starting pay is $30.32–$32.80 per hour.

The role requires familiarity with Metro 2 format, strong research/analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a production-driven environment, with a remote-from-home work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Three to five years of related work experience in mortgage servicing, financial industry, and/or experience handling credit bureaus disputes.
• Familiarity with Metro 2 format is a plus.
• Knowledge of RESPA, TILA, FCRA and CFPB regulations.

Responsibilities

• Investigate credit reporting disputes by analyzing Metro 2 data and company policy.
• Respond to disputes via E-Oscar and submit corrections to credit bureaus.
• Determine if a correction is warranted and adjust records accordingly.
• Make loan updates and ensure proper system notation.
• Collaborate with internal departments and report trends to management.
• Research loan data, payments, escrow, and balances to support dispute responses.
• Handle escalated credit reporting issues and support internal teams.
• Stay current on RESPA, TILA, FCRA, and CFPB regulations.
• Adhere to department policies and procedures.
