Logan Health, a growing health system, is seeking an experienced Certified Professional Coder for a remote, full-time role. You will accurately assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes, abstract essential data, and handle keying, billing and collections for client databases.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year coding experience and a nationally recognized coding certificate. Responsibilities include ensuring documentation adequacy, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with providers to support accurate

Qualificações

• Knowledge of ICD 10 CM and CPT 4 coding guidelines is required.
• Nationally recognized coding certificate (CCA, CCS, CPC or AAPC) is required.
• Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, self-starter with critical thinking and team independence.
• Commitment to teamwork and confidentiality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with diverse audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills for handling sensitive information with professionalism.
• Ability to learn other software beyond MS Office.

Responsabilidades

• Assigns and sequences ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for various patient types including inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory and ER records.
• Reviews medical records for documentation deficiencies and ensures accurate reflection of diagnoses and procedures.
• Reviews charges for accuracy and medical necessity; communicates with clinicians and departments to ensure proper documentation.
• Performs accurate data abstracting and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Follows coding guidelines and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
• Verifies patient data accuracy and coordinates corrections for proper billing and reporting.
• Meets productivity standards set by Revenue Integrity Coding.
• Supports continuous quality improvement and participates in ongoing education.
