Logan Health is seeking an experienced Certified Professional Coder for a full-time remote role based in the United States (Florida eligible). You will assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for outpatient records, abstract essential data for tracking and reimbursement, and handle keying, billing and collections for client databases.

A national coding cert is required. Responsibilities include ensuring documentation quality, communicating with providers, and maintaining coding accuracy to support

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding guidelines and practices is required.
• Nationally recognized coding certificate (CCA, CCS, CPC or AAPC) is required.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to work in a team or independently.

Responsabilités

• Assigns and sequences ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for outpatient records.
• Reviews medical records for documentation deficiencies and reflects diagnoses/procedures accurately.
• Reviews charges for accuracy and medical necessity; communicates with providers and departments.
• Abstracts clinical data to meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Follows coding guidelines and legal/regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
• Verifies patient account data; coordinates corrections with Patient Access and billing.
• Meets productivity standards set by Revenue Integrity Coding.
• Participates in continuing education to enhance knowledge and skills.
