Job summary

Logan Health is seeking an experienced Certified Professional Coder for a remote, full-time role. The position involves accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding for outpatient records, data abstraction for tracking and reimbursement, and handling billing-related data with attention to compliance.

Qualified candidates will have at least one year of coding experience and hold a nationally recognized coding certificate (CCA/CCS/CPC or AAPC).

Qualifications

• At least one year of professional coding work experience.
• Must hold a nationally recognized coding certificate.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for outpatient, inpatient, ambulatory and ER records.
• Review and analyze medical records for document deficiencies and reflect diagnoses/procedures accurately.
• Review charges for accuracy and medical necessity of tests/procedures.
• Communicate with providers and staff to ensure adequate documentation for services.
• Perform timely follow-up on accounts on hold and support billing processes.
• Ensure abstracted data meets regulatory and compliance requirements.
