Logan Health is seeking a Certified Professional Coder to join our expanding team. This remote role focuses on accurately coding outpatient records using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4, abstracting data for reporting and reimbursement, and handling related billing tasks.

The ideal candidate holds a nationally recognized coding certificate (CCA, CCS, CPC, or AAPC) and has at least one year of professional coding experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong confidentiality are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding guidelines and practices (required).
• Nationally recognized coding certificate (CCA/ CCS/ CPC or AAPC) (required).
• At least 1 year of professional coding experience.
• Ability to work remotely within approved states list.
• Excellent communication and confidentiality practices.

Responsibilities

• Assign and sequence ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for outpatient records.
• Abstract essential data elements for tracking, reporting, and reimbursement.
• Key data entry, billing and collections for assigned client databases.
• Ensure accuracy of charges and medical necessity; coordinate with providers and departments.
