Logan Health is seeking a Certified Professional Coder for a fully remote role. The position covers ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding for outpatient and other records, with data abstraction and billing responsibilities.

You’ll collaborate with providers to ensure accurate documentation and compliance while maintaining productivity in a remote setting. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of coding experience and a nationally recognized certificate.

Qualificações

• ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding guidelines knowledge and application required.
• Nationally recognized coding certificate (CCA/CCS/CPC or AAPC) required.
• Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and collaborative work style.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to learn new software.

Responsabilidades

• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory and ER records.
• Review records for deficiencies; reflect diagnosis and procedures accurately.
• Review charges for accuracy and medical necessity; communicate with providers and departments.
• Abstract clinical data and ensure regulatory compliance in coding.
• Follow coding guidelines and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
• Verify patient data and coordinate corrections with Patient Access; support billing.
• Meet productivity standards in Revenue Integrity Coding.
• Support continuous quality improvement and participate in ongoing education.
