Job summary

Logan Health is seeking a Certified Professional Coder to join our remote professional coding team. Responsibilities include assigning ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for outpatient records, abstracting data for tracking and reimbursement, and handling keying, billing, and collections for client databases.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of professional coding experience and hold a nationally recognized coding certificate (CCA/CCS/CPC/AAPC).

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional coding work experience.
• Nationally recognized coding certificate required (CCA/CCS/CPC or AAPC).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to learn new software as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes for outpatient records.
• Abstract essential data elements for tracking, reporting, and reimbursement.
• Key data entry, billing and collections for assigned databases.
• Ensure documentation supports services and medical necessity.
