Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP seeks a Consumer Finance Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of relevant experience to join our Financial Services & Capital Markets team across offices or the virtual office, The Link.

The ideal candidate will defend financial services clients in state and federal courts, master FCRA, FDCPA, RESPA and related statutes, and handle mortgage servicing and foreclosure-related matters. A valid bar license in the applicable state is required or anticipated.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of consumer finance litigation experience.
• Experience defending financial services in state and federal courts.
• Working knowledge of FCRA, FDCPA, RESPA and related statutes.
• Experience representing mortgage servicers/originators in foreclosures and title disputes.
• Active bar license in the applicable state or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Defend financial services clients in state and federal courts.
• Develop and articulate legal strategies and action plans.
• Manage multiple matters and coordinate with the Financial Services & Capital Markets team.
• Engage proactively with clients and other attorneys to advance matters.
