Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP in California is seeking a Consumer Finance Litigation Associate with three to five years of relevant experience to join our Financial Services & Capital Markets team. The role may be based in one of our offices or our virtual office, The Link.

You will defend financial services clients in state and federal courts, handle foreclosures and title disputes, and advise on FCRA, FDCPA, RESPA and other consumer-protection statutes.

Qualifications

• Experience defending financial services in state and federal courts.
• Working knowledge of FCRA, FDCPA, RESPA and related consumer-protection statutes.
• Experience representing mortgage servicers/originators in foreclosures and title disputes.
• Active bar license in CA/TX/FL/NJ/NY/OH or commitment to obtain promptly.
• Ability to manage multiple matters with sound judgment under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Defend financial services clients in state and federal courts.
• Handle contested foreclosures, quiet title actions, title disputes and related claims.
• Advise on FCRA/FDCPA/RESPA and other consumer-protection statutes.
• Collaborate with attorneys in the Financial Services & Capital Markets unit.
