Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP seeks a Consumer Finance Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of relevant experience. The role involves defending financial services clients in state and federal courts, with expertise in FCRA, FDCPA, RESPA, and related statutes.

Experience with mortgage servicers/origination matters is preferred. The ideal candidate will join the Financial Services & Capital Markets group and hold an active bar license in the relevant state.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience defending financial services companies in state and federal courts.
• Knowledge of FCRA, FDCPA, RESPA, and other consumer protection statutes.
• Experience representing mortgage servicers and/or originators in contested foreclosures and related claims.
• Active bar license in the state corresponding with the office or commitment to obtain one promptly.
• For virtual office (The Link), license in the state of residence is required.

Responsibilities

• Defend financial services clients in state and federal courts.
• Handle consumer protection and related foreclosure/title disputes.
• Work with the Financial Services & Capital Markets team.
