Husch Blackwell LLP seeks a Consumer Finance Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of relevant experience. The role supports the Financial Services & Capital Markets group and can be based in any office, including The Link virtual office.

Candidates should defend financial services clients in state and federal courts and bring knowledge of FCRA, FDCPA, RESPA and related statutes. California, Texas, Florida, New Jersey, New York or Ohio licenses are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Active bar license in the state of the office or commitment to obtain it promptly.
• Experience defending financial services clients in state and federal courts.
• Knowledge of FCRA, FDCPA, RESPA and related consumer statutes.
• Excellent academic credentials and ability to handle multiple projects under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and client-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Defend financial services clients in state and federal courts.
• Handle disputes including mortgage foreclosures, quiet title actions, and title disputes.
• Collaborate with the Financial Services & Capital Markets team to develop litigation strategy.
