Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Construction Engineer I to support EPC operations on solar, storage, and substation projects. The role is remote with travel and may transition to a permanent position.

You will coordinate engineering data, manage RFIs, and maintain document controls while supporting warranty and technology deployment initiatives. Minimum qualifications include a technical degree and 0–3 years of related experience, with EIT preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (engineering preferred).
  • 0–3 years of relevant construction engineering experience.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
  • Ability to read civil, structural, electrical, and geotechnical drawings.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office; CAD/GIS and drone tech exposure is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel and work onsite at construction sites.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate engineering information flow to field teams.
  • Manage RFIs with clear questions and track closure.
  • Interpret design requirements and permit conditions.
  • Maintain document control systems and drawing sets.
  • Support constructability reviews and risk identification.
  • Assist in owner/IE comment cycles and provide summaries.
  • Monitor deliverable timelines and mitigate delays.
  • Support pile load testing coordination and field data collection.
