Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Construction Engineer I for our EPC operations. The role starts contingent with potential to transition to permanent, supporting warranty forensics, emerging technologies implementation, and construction engineering during operations. Remote work with travel will be discussed in interview.

Ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in engineering and 0–3 years’ experience, with strong documentation, and proficiency in Excel; CAD/GIS exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Studies, or closely related field.
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience with guidance toward independent execution.
  • Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification preferred or willingness to pursue.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret civil, structural, electrical, and geotechnical drawings.
  • Foundational understanding of construction processes and testing practices (e.g., pile load testing).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily engineering information flow to field teams and distribute drawing updates.
  • Manage RFIs with clear questions, supporting docs, routing, and closure tracking.
  • Interpret SOLV standards, contract requirements, and permit conditions.
  • Maintain engineering document control systems and version tracking.
  • Identify constructability risks and missing details during reviews.
  • Prepare logs and summarize consultant responses for project managers.
  • Monitor deliverable timelines and assist with mitigation with engineering partners.
