Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Construction Engineer I to support four core construction engineering functions across EPC operations, including warranty analysis, emerging technologies implementation, field coordination, and pile load testing support. The role is remote with travel and begins as a contingent position with potential to transition to permanent.

Responsibilities cover data gathering, RFIs, design interpretation, document control, and rollout of new construction technology SOPs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Studies, or a closely related technical field (preferred).
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience, with the ability to perform tasks with guidance and grow toward independent execution (aligned with Engineer I expectations).
  • Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification preferred or willingness to pursue certification.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including civil, structural, electrical, and geotechnical plans.

Responsibilities

  • Warranty forensics: gather field data, photos, and installation details to support warranty evaluations.
  • Emerging technologies implementation: support GPS pile driving, drone topo capture, and machine control datasets.
  • Construction engineering support during operations: coordinate drawing updates, RFIs, and document control.
  • Pile load testing support during initial design: coordinate pre-construction tests and document results.
  • General engineering: review plans, support constructability reviews, and track deliverables.
