Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP is seeking an experienced Compliance (Conflicts) Analyst to join the US team. The role involves conflict-of-interest research, reviewing matter intake, and performing corporate and database research to identify potential issues for attorney review.

Ideal candidates have strong research skills, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information with a keen attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• One year of conflicts or legal assistant experience (or similar analyst experience) required.
• Excellent oral and written business communication; international exposure is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills required.
• Strong analytical skills required.
• Willingness to learn law and conflict of interest principles.
• Ability to keep information confidential.
• Proven stability and calm demeanor under stress.
• Knowledge of world geography.
• Strong sense of urgency and prioritization; know when to seek guidance.
• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite user.

Responsibilities

• Respond to lawyer and staff requests to perform conflicts of interest searches.
• Review information submitted by lawyers and support staff for accuracy; follow up as needed.
• Research corporate history and look up affiliations.
• Use Boolean searches to query the conflicts database and design effective queries.
• Review generated conflict reports and identify potential conflicts.
• Collaborate with assigned Compliance Lawyers to ensure efficient workflow.
• Summarize potential conflicts for assigned lawyers.
• Learn and apply Global Practice Standards and related policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of firm information.
