Job summary

Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP is seeking an experienced Compliance (Conflicts) Analyst to join our US team. The role involves conflict-of-interest research, reviewing matter intake, and identifying issues for lawyer review.

Candidates must be detail-oriented, self-starting, and able to work with a conflicts database across multiple jurisdictions. The position may be performed remotely from US offices with occasional in-office attendance as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• One year of conflicts or legal assistant experience (or similar analyst experience) is required.
• Excellent oral and written business communication skills; exposure to international business is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills; ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Respond to conflicts of interest searches for lawyers and staff.
• Review information submitted for completion and accuracy; follow up as needed.
• Research corporate history of clients and parties; investigate corporate affiliations.
• Design effective database searches using Boolean terms and distinguish relevant results.
• Review generated conflict reports for relevancy and identify potential conflicts.
• Collaborate with Compliance Lawyers to ensure accurate and efficient workflow.
• Summarize the basis for potential conflicts and communicate findings to lawyers.
• Learn Global Practice Standards and respond to related inquiries.
• Maintain confidentiality of firm information; handle sensitive data with discretion.
