Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a Compliance & Reporting Engineer to join a brand-new team focused on building configurable reports that enable expansion into new markets and jurisdictions. The role centers on delivering scalable reporting solutions for compliance in public safety, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and shaping the product to meet state-specific requirements.

Qualified candidates will have experience with forms, workflows, and scripting (JavaScript/JSON).

Qualifications

• Experience building or configuring forms, workflows, or reporting solutions. Forms.io is strongly preferred.
• Experience with scripting and configuration technologies such as JavaScript, JSON, or similar languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience collaborating across Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers when needed.

Responsibilities

• Build and configure reporting forms that satisfy state-specific compliance requirements for new jurisdictions.
• Partner with CS, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Engineering to translate customer reporting needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop configurable forms and reporting workflows to reduce customization while meeting diverse requirements.
• Troubleshoot reporting and compliance challenges with customers and identify improvement opportunities.
• Help establish engineering standards and best practices for a brand new team.
• Write and maintain scripts using JavaScript, JSON, and related technologies to support form configuration and automation.
• Improve internal documentation and tooling to make compliance reporting easier to build, maintain, and scale.
