Job summary

Mark43 is hiring a Compliance & Reporting Engineer to join a brand-new team focused on building configurable reports for multi-jurisdictional compliance. The role partners with Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Engineering to translate customer needs into scalable reporting solutions.

The position emphasizes scripting with JavaScript/JSON, form configuration, and automation while supporting customers and driving growth in a fully remote capacity within Mark43's approved

Qualifications

• Professional experience in the public safety technology space.
• Experience building or configuring forms, workflows, or reporting solutions; Forms.io is strongly preferred.
• Experience working with scripting and configuration technologies such as JavaScript, JSON, or similar languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience collaborating across Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers when needed.

Responsibilities

• Built and configured reporting forms that satisfy state-specific compliance requirements and helped deploy Mark43 in new jurisdictions.
• Partnered with Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Engineering teams to understand customer reporting needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Developed configurable forms and reporting workflows that reduce customization while meeting diverse customer requirements.
• Worked with customers to troubleshoot reporting and compliance challenges and identify opportunities to improve the product.
• Helped establish engineering standards, processes, and best practices for a brand new team supporting growth.
• Wrote and maintained scripts using JavaScript, JSON, and related technologies to support form configuration and automation.
• Improved internal documentation and tooling to make compliance reporting easier to build, maintain, and scale.
