Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a Compliance & Reporting Engineer to join a brand-new team focused on building configurable reports for expanding into new markets and jurisdictions. The role supports customers in new states and enables faster deployments while ensuring state- and agency-specific reporting requirements are met.

The position offers a fully remote work setup within Mark43's approved hiring states, with offices in New York, Boston, and Manchester for hybrid options.

Qualifications

• Experience building or configuring forms, workflows, or reporting solutions.
• Experience working with scripting and configuration technologies such as JavaScript, JSON, or similar languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers when needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Engineering teams to understand customer reporting needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop configurable forms and reporting workflows that reduce customization while meeting diverse customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot reporting and compliance challenges and identify opportunities to improve the product.
• Help establish engineering standards, processes, and best practices for a brand new team that will play a key role in Mark43's continued growth.
• Write and maintain scripts using JavaScript, JSON, and related technologies to support form configuration and automation.
• Improve internal documentation and tooling to make compliance reporting easier to build, maintain, and scale.
