Job summary

Navigate Power, in partnership with Verde Solutions, seeks a Commercial Energy Advisor to build a client book across commercial and industrial energy needs. This contract role offers remote flexibility, uncapped commissions, and back-office support to win, renew, and expand accounts.

You will identify opportunities to reduce operating costs, compare electricity and natural gas offers, and propose bundled energy solutions from efficiency to solar and storage.

Qualifications

• Two years of sales experience, preferably B2B, with a track record of winning clients and meeting targets.
• Ability to generate business: prospecting, asking for referrals, building relationships with business owners and decision-makers.
• Consultative selling skills: listen to priorities, explain recommendations, handle objections, move conversations toward a decision.
• Independent work discipline: manage your pipeline, follow-up, and schedule consistently in a remote, 1099, commission-only role.

Responsibilities

• Generate your own pipeline through direct outreach, referrals, business networks, partnerships, and existing relationships; prioritize expiring contracts and high-energy-cost facilities.
• Reach the right decision-makers: engage owners, finance leaders, property managers, and facility teams on budgets and priorities.
• Turn client information into strategy: review bills, usage, dates, and needs to identify potential savings and practical recommendations.
• Explain options clearly: present electricity and natural gas proposals with terms and market context.
• Develop opportunities beyond procurement: introduce solar, EV charging, storage, efficiency upgrades when appropriate.
• Lead the sale through close: move from discovery to proposal to signed agreement with internal support and handoff.
• Build the next opportunity into each account: maintain pipeline, follow up, and renewals to grow business.
