Navigate Power is recruiting for a Commercial Energy Consultant to build a client book remotely. You will compare electricity and natural gas offers for commercial/industrial clients, secure contracts, and expand accounts with additional energy projects.

This independent contractor role operates on a commission-only basis with uncapped potential. You’ll access 110+ supplier relationships, receive deal support, and leverage market tools to close opportunities and renewals across multiple

Qualifications

• Two+ years of sales experience, preferably in B2B, with a track record of winning clients and meeting targets.
• Ability to prospect, ask for referrals, and build relationships with business owners and decision-makers.
• Consultative selling: listen for priorities, explain recommendations clearly, handle objections, and move conversations toward a decision.
• Independent work discipline: manage your pipeline, follow-up, and schedule in a remote, 1099, commission-only role.
• Energy industry experience is valuable; a client book is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Generate your own pipeline through outreach, referrals, networks, partnerships, and existing relationships.
• Reach the right decision-makers: engage business owners, finance leaders, and facility teams around energy budgets and priorities.
• Turn client information into a strategy: review bills, usage, contract dates, and needs to identify savings.
• Make the options clear: present proposals explaining supplier differences, pricing, terms, and market conditions.
• Develop opportunities beyond procurement: introduce solar, EV charging, storage, and efficiency projects when appropriate.
• Lead the sale through close: move opportunities from discovery to proposal and signed agreement with internal deal support.
• Build the next opportunity into each account: maintain pipeline, follow-up, and renewals to earn referrals.
