Job summary

Navigate Power is seeking a Business Energy Advisor on a contract basis to build and manage a commercial energy client book from Springfield, IL with remote and hybrid options. You will compare electricity and natural gas offers from 110+ suppliers to help clients reduce operating costs and identify opportunities across efficiency, solar, and energy storage.

You set your schedule, drive your own pipeline, and earn uncapped commissions in a 1099 role with no base salary.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated sales results in B2B environments.
• Ability to generate new business and nurture client relationships.
• Strong consultative selling, needs discovery, objection handling.

Responsibilities

• Build your book of business with pricing, operations, and project-team support.
• Generate pipeline via outreach, referrals, and networks; prioritize expiring contracts and high energy costs.
• Engage decision-makers and present clear proposals with pricing and terms.
• Develop opportunities beyond procurement including solar, EV charging, storage, and efficiency projects.
• Lead opportunities from discovery to signed agreement and manage renewals/upsell.
