Job summary

LCS Financial Services Corporation is seeking an experienced Remote Collections Specialist to join its team from home. You will manage inbound/outbound calls, negotiate settlements, and apply skip-tracing techniques to recover delinquent accounts while staying compliant with federal, state, and local laws.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in third-party debt collection, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a remote, performance-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of third-party debt collection experience.
• Proven ability to manage collection accounts and negotiate successful payment arrangements.
• Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and telephone etiquette.
• Working knowledge of applicable debt collection laws and regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-minimized remote workspace suitable for confidential conversations.
• Experience in a high-volume collections environment.
• Familiarity with skip-tracing tools and collection management systems.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding collection goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound collection calls to negotiate resolutions on delinquent accounts.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and settlement agreements based on borrowers' financial circumstances.
• Utilize skip-tracing tools to locate borrowers and assets.
• Manage assigned portfolios and prioritize collection activities to maximize recovery.
• Work toward individual and departmental performance goals.
• Maintain accurate and detailed account documentation.
• Deliver professional, respectful interactions while handling difficult conversations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable collection laws, policies, and regulatory requirements.
