Job summary

ABB is seeking a CoE Field Service Operations Manager for the Data Center Division in the United States. You will lead day-to-day service activities, develop surge capability, and ensure excellent customer outcomes across field operations. The role offers remote work within the U.S.

with a preference for Western/Mountain time zones and requires up to 50% travel. You will collaborate with ABB teams, drive operational excellence, and manage resources while maintaining safety and compliance with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business or commensurate experience.
• Knowledge of Data Center Start-up and Commissioning strategies, field service personnel development and the electrical industry within the Data Center market.
• Knowledge of MS Project, Google Suite, SAP, and project issue resolution software (BIM, Compass, CxAlloy, Procore, etc.).
• Must be able to interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Technical understanding of power delivery equipment: transformers, switchgear, breakers, relays.
• Maintain high standards for safety and housekeeping and assure compliance with all environmental regulations.
• Strong leadership, clear communication, teamwork, and a proven customerfocused mindset.
• Willing to travel up to 50% of time.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

• Implements day-to-day service activities for the Data Center Services Center Of Excellence.
• Oversees the Data Center Service segment day-to-day execution and surge team development.
• Leads resource planning, workload balancing, and compliance with HSE standards and ABB Way.
• Oversees Surge Team onboarding, training, timesheets, expenses, and supplier invoices.
• Provides leadership and coaching for Field Service Engineers/Technicians to ensure high-quality execution.
• Collaborates across ABB teams to assign personnel, resolve technical issues, and support project execution.
